SalMar Becomes Official Trondheim 2025 Sponsor: Will Provide 10,000 Fish Meals
SalMar has signed on as an official sponsor for the Nordic World Ski Championships in Trondheim. During the championship, SalMar will deliver 10,000 salmon meals to hungry athletes, volunteers, and spectators.
“Trondheim 2025 will be a celebration for all of Norway, especially here in Trøndelag. We are absolutely delighted to provide healthy and nutritious food for all the amazing people working hard during the championship and for the spectators. We are impressed by the organizers’ clear focus on sustainability and believe this championship will serve as a beacon for future World Championships,” says Frode Arntsen, CEO of SalMar.
Åge Skinstad is thrilled to have SalMar on board.
“The World Ski Championships aim to be the most sustainable Nordic skiing event ever. It’s a perfect match to serve food from a company that prioritizes sustainability in everything they do,” says WSC Director Åge Skinstad.
Skinstad refers to a recently published article in Time magazine, which ranked 500 companies worldwide based on their ability to achieve sustainable growth. SalMar was ranked 51st overall, making it the highest-placed Norwegian company and the top performer in the
“Food and Beverages” category.
With this important agreement in place, sponsorship sales are nearing completion for Trondheim 2025.
“We’re almost sold out, but there are still opportunities to join at some levels. We have secured 38 partners, and our business network, Spor, includes 190 members. We’re on track with 71 days to go before the festivities kick off in Trondheim,” concludes Åge Skinstad.
